Yellowjacket
A browser audio workbench connecting transcript editing, signal analysis, and music production.
I built Yellowjacket to bring audio editing, measurement, and creative work into one inspectable browser workflow.
- Edit through words. Transcribe a recording with Whisper, cut audio through its transcript, and export edited audio or captions.
- Inspect and repair sound. Examine waveforms and spectrograms, measure loudness, and apply a repair chain with controls for noise, EQ, dynamics, and output level.
- Turn recordings into music. Combine melodic parts, sample sequences, and scores. LOOM connects words or audio spans to musical gestures while retaining their source references.
Transcription requires downloaded model weights. The application is designed to process audio locally in the browser; a bundled demo lets visitors explore without supplying a recording.
Yellowjacket is source-available under BSL 1.1. Its license permits individual personal noncommercial use; organizational or commercial production use requires a separate license.
