This is a development record. Scope, release, and completion claims remain limited to the artifacts linked here.

The course follows an empirical argument from its target through observation, identification, estimation, uncertainty, and action. Readers can inspect cases in which the observed data are identical and the causal effects differ, a larger sample reinforces a biased answer, or a modest trend violation changes an investment decision.

The September 2026 development edition includes twelve compact chapters, formal derivations, numerical examples, worked exercises, synthetic CSV exports, Python and R reproductions, a printable reading edition, and teaching plans. Advanced methods are introduced with primary-source reading paths; no claim of a complete graduate curriculum or validated learning outcomes is made.
