The national atlas describes reported Qualified Low-Income Community Investment financing. All project totals reconcile to their underlying transactions in integer cents: $71,018,792,858.55. The year filter uses transaction origination years and counts each financed project once within the selected interval.
8,434 projects have matching 2020 Census tract internal points. Five projects in American Samoa, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands remain in totals and exports without invented coordinates. Representative tracts are not project addresses; multi-tract projects may finance activity elsewhere.
This release is separate from the earlier research panel behind Helfrich’s NMTC working paper. It does not update the paper’s estimates or identify causal investment effects. Financing is nominal, not federal tax expenditure or additional private capital.
